OOn February 23, 2026, OFA Diliman launched the second showcase of Lakbay Natin: An Exhibit on Academic Field Activities at the College of Engineering Library Learning Commons (TLC). The exhibit was held from February 23 to February 27, 2026. Previously, it made its debut at the UP Institute of Civil Engineering lobby from November 24 to November 27, 2025.
In line with the essential role that AFAs play in fostering holistic and experiential student learning, the Exhibit featured 23 unique and diverse AFA experiences displayed through creative posters and infographics submitted by various academic units. In addition to the submissions, OFA Diliman showed informational posters regarding the office’s mandate and the various AFA types under its purview.
OFA released its initial call for entries on November 6, 2025. In an A1-size, high-quality PDF format, each poster contained the following information: a creative title for the AFA experience, the activity’s objectives, a short description of the AFA, the insights that were gained, and photos taken during the activity.
Beyond these guidelines, students and faculty alike were encouraged to share about their AFA experiences in their own creative way. True enough, the submissions from students and faculty came in a variety of aesthetics and colorways.
National Service Training Program (NSTP) coordinators and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) faculty both submitted the largest number of entries, with five (5) posters each. The College of Architecture came in second with four (4) posters submitted. Other academic and constituent units that submitted entries include the College of Music, the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Home Economics, the College of Engineering, and the University of the Philippines Integrated School.
Among the types of AFAs showcased, Off-Campus AFAs led the charge with 15 creative posters. NSTP AFAs were also well-represented with five (5) posters displayed in the exhibit. Two (2) posters were about International AFAs, while one (1) poster highlighted an On-Campus AFA experience.
Through this exhibit, the fervor demonstrated by the many stakeholders in charge of conducting AFAs was evident. Despite only having a few weeks of preparation, several faculty members were able to contribute insightful, colorful posters that reflected the AFAs they and their many students experienced.
